An exciting opportunity exists to join the dynamic and passionate KOALA National Coordinating Centre team. Contribute your skillset to this highly motivated team to improve the research and outcomes for children and young people with cancer. What you'll be doing
KOALA (Kids Oncology and Leukaemia Trials) is a specialised Clinical Trials centre for early phase studies for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer. KOALA is Kids Cancer Alliance funded and located in the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. 

KOALA is seeking an experienced Clinical  Trials Officer to join a team responsible for the development and management of multi-centre, collaborative and investigator-initiated oncology Clinical Trials across ANZ, and potentially overseas.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and must be able to liaise effectively with a large multidisciplinary team including molecular oncologists, bioinformaticians and site staff. Planning and analytical skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines while managing various project demands, will be highly regarded.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or a demonstrated experience in clinical research and Clinical Trials.
  2. Knowledge of GCP/ICH Guidelines, TGA Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements and processes.
  3. Demonstrated ability to meticulously follow policies and procedures and demonstrated exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
  4. Demonstrated high level ability in the use of computer applications and databases.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proactively.
  6. Previous experience coordinating Clinical Trials or clinical research
  7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
