•2 year part time contract (22.8 hours per week)

The opportunity:
Join our team as a Part Time Clinical Education Research Officer and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Australian children with disabilities. In a country where 7.6% of children aged 0-14 face various challenges, including intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, and autism spectrum disorders, we are dedicated to creating positive change.
As a key member of our Neurodisability and Rehabilitation team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of childhood disabilities and implementing effective interventions.
In this dynamic position, you will lead the charge in establishing a culture of best practice and critical thinking within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS). Your responsibilities will extend to translating cutting-edge research into tangible clinical practices, fostering a research-centric approach, and collaborating with VPRS staff across the state.

Your responsibilities include:
•Develop Statewide education and training programs that promote critical thinking
•Assist in translation of research into clinical practice from key research groups in cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and chronic fatigue syndrome,
•Assist in developing collaborative projects across VPRS sites and centres
•Attend each VPRS regional site at least once per year
•Inform the VPRS Research Education days, and organise one day per year focused on research
About you:
•Relevant PhD/Doctoral qualification
•Postdoctoral experience (relative to opportunity) and appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
•Education and supervision of future researchers and successful higher degree student completions
•Clinical experience in the field of rehabilitation healthcare
•Clinical experience in the fields of acquired brain injury, chronic fatigue syndrome, spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy
•Demonstrated sound organisational, forward planning and coordination skills
