The opportunity:
Our Development business is currently seeking a National Commercial Finance Manager to join the team based in our Rhodes office. Reporting to the General Manager Finance, the National Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful forecasting and analysis for the development business. This is a key role, partnering with development Finance Managers and the Executive General Manager of Development to provide national portfolio planning and analysis to drive informed decision making.
Sitting as a part of the Development Finance Leadership Team, this role will include leading and coaching a small team as well as providing strategic thought leadership to the broader finance team, and role modelling Frasers values and behaviours.
As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Development business, working closely with Finance Managers to ensure timely completion
- Consolidating project and state inputs to deliver national Development forecast, review and challenge of inputs, analysis of financial metrics, key movements, risk and opportunity with regards to Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Delivery of key forecasting output including presentations to the Executive Management Team as well as reporting to Singapore head office and other outputs as required
- Ongoing monitoring of forecasts through regular risk and opportunity updates; preparing and communicating portfolio outcomes and sensitivities
- Delivery of returns analysis, scenario modelling and insightful reporting on key business metrics and performance indicators making recommendations that will drive great decision making across the development function
- Supporting the preparation of Board, Investment Committee, Finance Committee and other reports required for submission to Australia and Singapore stakeholders
As the ideal applicant you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, economics, finance / accounting
- CPA / CA or equivalent qualification
- Advanced financial analytical skills with experience gained in property sector, preferably with exposure to residential development
- Demonstrated experience working within Development Management teams
- Analytical with a high attention to detail, strong problem-solving capability and an ability to succinctly communicate key messages and insights from large amounts of data
- Passion for Property and a curiosity to understand, challenge and improve business performance
- High levels of interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
