ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a driven National Community Policy Lead to join our Community Cricket team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about using their influence and intellect to build policy frameworks and education that continue to ensure our sport is safe and relevant for all who want to play!
You’ll be responsible for the development and implementation of critical off-field and on-field policies that support the continued growth of opportunities for kids and adults to play cricket.

Reporting to the Head of Community Customer Support you’ll be responsible for:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive National Community Policy Framework that comprises all Community Cricket on and off field policies, codes and guidelines
- Develop improved systems for reporting, collection and analysis of policy breaches and incidents in the community
- Provide leadership of both National Child Safe Working Group and CA Child Safe Working Groups
- Provide guidance and expertise to Cricket Australia and State & Territories on key child safety risks in the community
- Develop and deliver education that increases awareness and confidence in the implementation of Community Policy Framework amongst staff and community
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3 years’ experience in Community Sport, Integrity or Safeguarding
- Relevant tertiary qualifications: Law, Social Work, Sport Management or Business degree
- Experience / understanding in leading state or national sporting activity preferred
- Experience with building frameworks, resources and education that simplifies complex concepts.
- Comfortable with presenting to large audiences and collaborating with leadership
- Strong stakeholder relationships and comfortable having courageous conversations
