Role Overview:
As the National Inventory Manager at Sydney Freezers, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our inventory management strategies across the nation. This position involves leading a team responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and enhancing supply chain operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, drive process improvements, and contribute significantly to the success of our supply chain function. Your strategic leadership will ensure the seamless flow of our products from suppliers to clients across multiple states, fostering efficient and effective supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loss Prevention: Implement strategies to prevent stock loss through effective management of stock levels and storage conditions.
- National Stock Management: Oversee stock control across various states and branches, ensuring consistency and accuracy in inventory levels.
- Inventory Management Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives, supporting the future growth of our supply chain.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across finance, procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the supply chain.
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Work closely with vendors and suppliers to optimize order fulfillment processes and reduce lead times.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate potential inventory-related risks, such as stockouts or overstock situations.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected supply chain disruptions.
About You:
- Experience: Proven background in national (multi-state) inventory control, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management and inventory control. Previous experience as an Inventory Manager in food industry is essential.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in Supply chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in using advanced procurement and inventory management software platforms.
- Strategic Planning: Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, along with superior time management and organizational skills.
