About the role
With an expanding portfolio of over 300 sites we are experiencing significant growth. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, and passionate, commercial and industrial property leasing professional. Reporting to the National Manager - Property and based in our National Support Office in Eastwood (SA), your ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced role, together with excellent negotiating skills, will see you succeed. This role will be predominately focused on commercial property leasing, however, will additionally offer exposure to industrial leasing opportunities.
Role responsibilities include:
- Identify suitable sites for store development and/or relocations
- Re-negotiate existing leases/tenures to maximise cost savings
- Negotiate commercial terms and submit offers to lease
- Prepare budgets, strategic plans and Property reports.
- Negotiate lease renewals, relocations and make-good requirements
- Provide strategic initiatives and opportunities for the portfolio
- Manage risk and compliance for property transactions
- Provide market analysis/true market rent on locations when negotiating options
- Understanding of Planning and Zoning Laws
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and support functions to ensure clarity and consistency across the Property Network

Characteristics that will ensure your success:
- Sound knowledge of the Commercial Property market nationally
- 7+ years’ experience in tenancy leasing
- Exceptional lease negotiation skills
- Strong financial, business and commercial acumen, with strong analytical skills
- Expertise in Lease Administration & Retail Tenancy Act
- Experience negotiating lease surrenders, make-good and dispute resolution
- Ideally have SAP experience and/or property leasing management databases
- Relevant experience in a similar role (commercial property experience required)
- Tertiary qualifications in Property/ Property Management
