About the role:
The National Quality Manager is a newly created role within the RWC group. This role will be focused on ensuring that RWC products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer, this includes regulatory, product standards and consumer expectation.
Reporting to the APAC Operations Director, the National Quality Manager has accountability for Quality Control & Continuous Improvement across all of our sites around Australia.
What you will need to do:
- Construct and execute quality assurance protocols;
- Create and execute quality control tests and inspections;
- Ensure that every stage of the manufacturing process has been correctly completed and complies with Company standards.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes, products and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications;
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures;
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives;
- Assure that products abide by customer specifications and industry standards;
- Monitor production lines to detect and address quality issues and nonconformances;
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, procurement and manufacturing, to improve product design and production processes;
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality awareness and best practices;
- Investigate customer complaints and issues to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met;
About you:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, engineering, or quality management, is required.
- Additionally, Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
- Certification of quality control (e.g. ISO 9000 etc.)
- Proven experience as Quality Manager
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
- Conscientious and responsible
- A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
- Ability to be a team player and partner across various functions within an organisation
- Willing and able to travel interstate as required
