Reporting to the Executive Manager – National Programs, the National Specialist – Disability Employment Services provides expert advice to the Executive and State Managers on leading practice initiatives and issues across the program supporting the intellectual leadership of the organisation to ensure contemporary practice and delivery. The appointee will work collaboratively with State Managers to ensure a consistent and compliant approach to program delivery which upholds practice and service standards. Key areas of responsibility include:
negotiate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input to influence Maxima’s goals and strategic business plans;
incorporate feedback and learnings to encourage continuous improvement within the Disability Employment Services program;
conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify potential opportunities for program growth;
team leadership and development ensuring competencies are aligned to service delivery requirements;
operate and manage budget parameters for the national program delivery;
lead the coordination for Maxima’s Tender Response collaborating with specialists and consultants to deliver a response for Board endorsement.
This position will suit an appropriately qualified and experienced professional with demonstrated capability in the DISABILITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES sector or similarly highly regulated, complex human services environments. The ability to interpret legislation, regulations and policy for business application, tender coordination and/or project management experience in a tender environment, sound business acumen and the ability to build and maintain beneficial professional relationships and networks will be key to success in this position. Authenticity, confidence, warmth and collaborative capacities to work in a fast-paced human services environment will be important.
