Our client is currently looking for a Naval Architect with experience as a Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership and direction to the structural function of an advanced Defence Naval capability. You will play a vital role in providing quality structural design solutions to a large Naval Defence platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the structural/hull engineering activities.
- Develop task plans (including estimates, cost, and schedule) for Platform Systems Projects/Tasks.
- Manage the delivery of structural engineering tasks while staying in line with budget, schedule, and priority.
- Consult in engineering decisions and review structural engineering work.
- Develop alternative concepts to structural issues.
- Undertake the checking of design artefacts.
- Manage Platform System Hull related engineering studies, evaluations and test and trials.
- Work within an engineering to meet the functional requirements.
SKILLS & EXPERINECE NEEDED
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1.
- Platform integration and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with structural analysis.
- Experience within Maritime system structural design and sustainment
- Experience working on Defence projects.
