Nightingale Home Care is a provider of in home supports in the Greater Geelong region. We extend our services into the Bellarine and the Surf coast regions.
We are currently expanding our services and looking for someone to join our team in the position of a Program Manager. to oversee the development and implementation of a day program for NDIS and Aged Care participants, as well as a school holidays program.
About the role:
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Program Manager in a Full-time Position, (Permanent) to join our expanding Nightingale team.
The applicant will be professional, reliable, and committed to making a real positive difference in people's lives with disabilities, whilst working as a senior role as part of our already amazing team.
Hours of work range between 07:00am - 6:00pm, 5 days a week (38 Hours per week), with some weekends if required.
All positions are offered with a 3-month probationary period
In the role you will:
- Develop and implement a new activities/day program.
- Liaise with Director in the implementation of this service.
- Provide structure and guidance to staff with activities and programming within our upcoming services.
- Connect with the community and create new networks of opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Provide participant orientated community-based experiences and services, that support the participant and is inclusive, whilst meeting their NDIS plan needs.
- Mentor our team of Support Workers, including assessing their performance on an ongoing basis.
- Involvement in monthly management meetings.
- Support in managing staff sick leave/rostering.
- Responsible for client intake processing including intake forms, service agreements etc.
- Liaise with Support coordinators, families &/or participants re: referrals, service agreements and participant funding.
- Develop and update as required, Individual Support Plans, Participant Duty Statements and any other documentation required for participant service delivery.
Experience required:
- At least 3 years experience in a senior leadership or management role in the disability or community sector
- Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS including funding models, knowledge on participant plans etc
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Proven experience in the development of successful similar programs is a MUST
- Experience advertising via social media advantageous
Desirable skills:
- A degree level qualification in Disability, Welfare, Psychology, Social Work, Community/Human Services or equivalent highly desirable
- Ability to research current sector trends and analyse effectiveness
- Ability to identify sector gaps
