The role
We have an exciting, 6-month opportunity for a Program Manager to join us to support our journey to becoming a digital utility. This role is part of a matrix structure which is in place to deliver the Digital Utility Programs and will work directly with the Group Manager, Digital Utility Program and Process Transformation.
This role will be responsible for leading and managing a number of projects to approved schedules, budget, scope, along with meeting our business outcomes, including management of the administrative aspects of the project including but not limited to budget and schedule management. This Digital Metering program is trialling new digital metering technologies, aiming to explore and confirm the benefits that this technology can bring to our customers.
The Program Manager will carry out the following activities to support the Digital Utility group:
- Hands on manage the key Digital Metering Program related projects through the full program planning and delivery lifecycle
- Scope newly identified initiatives to determine feasibility and requirements
- Engage with internal and external program stakeholders to ensure that the program objectives, requirements, and approvals are understood and obtained
- Oversee all Digital Utility related projects impacting Customer Experience and Stakeholders to ensure priorities, timelines, and dependencies are managed and understood
- Plan and select the delivery model tailored to meet the program objectives and needs
- Collate and prepare all program documentation for procurement and delivery, and manage external partners (consultants) to assist with this work
- Manage and maintain detailed program information, report on costs, undertake financial and schedule forecasting
- Manage, monitor and report on the delivery partner’s performance against the agreed Key Performance Indicators
- Ensure that program is delivered safely, on time and budget, and to the intent of the design.
Your experience working in a complex project environment means you have strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with and influence a wide range of technical and business stakeholders. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage at all business levels and a range of technical and business audiences.
