The Role
The role of Contract Asset Manager reports to the Strategic (Reliability) Asset Manager for PFM with remit across Australia and New
Zealand. The Strategic Asset Management (SAM) team is part of the PFM Business Integrity Team which provide corporate governance, guidance and support to all its Operational Contracts.
This central role will divide their time across participation in new bid opportunities as an Asset Management subject-matter expert, maintain the Asset Management System, facilitating Asset Management training workshops, and support Operational Contracts.
We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge and experience of assets in the built environment: engineered building services,
internal and external building fabric, furniture fittings and equipment, grounds, gardens and urban furniture.
This experience is to be utilised as a key member of the central PFM Strategic Asset Management team, collaborate with the SAM team,
embedded Contract Asset practitioners to continually improve our asset management methodologies so PFM realises the value of our maintenance service delivery for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Asset Management System, assist with roll out to Operational Contracts
- Facilitate training workshops across Australia and New Zealand to the embedded Asset Practitioners
- Builds a strong working relationship with embedded resources undertaking Asset Management activities within operational contracts
- Uses qualitative and quantitative data to assist with evidence based asset management decision making
- Builds a strong working relationship with Business Systems and collaborate on seeking improvement changes to the functionality and outputs of the suite of tools available or to be made available such as: CMMS, Mobility, Asset Capture, Predictive Asset Replacement/Refurbishment Modelling and Business Intelligence Reporting
- At times provide governance or consult as required in identification, appraisal, optimisation and prioritising of options and the
development of effective asset management plans - At times support or consult as required advice on how the asset life cycle is managed and planning and controlling the delivery of its
main components - Prepare and present client facing presentation to communicate business methodology and objectives in asset management delivery to meet the customers’ requirements

Benchmarks for Success
- Achieve or better the target LTIFR
- Assist the Strategic (Reliability) Asset Manager to work within the agreed budget
- Achieve agreed level of implementation of ISO55001 to nominated contracts each budget year
- Achieve continuing certification for the asset management system and assist with the continuing certification of the other business
certified systems - Positive working relationship with shared support services and operations, development of personal and team succession planning
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, or a technical discipline relevant to the area of operation or equivalent work experience
- Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA/CPAM) desirable
- Previous experience in operational asset management, and asset data and information management
- Experience in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS, preferably Maximo)
- Proven organisational and teamworking capabilities
- Strong to advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Experience developing Asset Management Plans, and asset lifecycle planning
