Key Responsibilities:
- Personalized Support: Assist participants in achieving their NDIS goals, focusing on enhancing daily living skills and independence.
- Daily Activities: Help in breaking down tasks to build consistent routines, promoting skill development and self-reliance.
- Personal Hygiene Assistance: Support with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect in all aspects of care.
- Community Engagement: Plan and participate in community-focused activities that align with participants' interests and goals.
- In-Home Care: Provide assistance within the participant's home, tailored to their needs and comfort.
- Transportation: Safely transport clients to appointments, outings, and other activities, facilitating community access and participation.
- Innovative Interaction: Employ creative and individualized approaches to engage with each participant, catering to their unique needs and preferences.
Ideal Candidate:
- Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants and their families.
- Previous experience in a similar role or a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Check and Worker Screening check at Service NSW (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings as required.
