In this position, you will be responsible for helping individuals living with a disability, participate, and engage in social and community activities. You will be supporting NDIS participants with empathy, humanity, and care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide support to participants in line with AASTHA social model of recovery
- Offer support to participants and assist them to participate in all lifestyle activities of their choice and meet daily living needs as well as attain better social participation in their community.
- Provide short-term-focused interventions, education, support, and mentoring to participants.
- Support and assist participants to achieve their goals and needs in relation to the approved NDIS plan.
- Deliver high quality, person-centred services to meet the needs of participants.
- Provide weekday and Saturday support as required by participants.
Qualifications and Skills
To be eligible for this position, you must:
- Certificate III or experience
- Have a full WA Driver’s License.
- Current Working With Children's Check
- Current valid First Aid Certificate
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Screening Check
- Own your own car and have full comprehensive roadworthy vehicle insurance.
- An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Disability Sector
- An understanding of how to manage a caseload and do this autonomously.
- An ability to organize your own timetable/roster and meet deadlines/appointments.
- An ability to write case notes and do this articulately, clearly, and concisely.
