NDIS Supported Independent Living (SIL) Manager

Your new role
As the SIL Manger you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of quality care and support services across multiple residential SIL homes. You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Prepare ROC (Roster of Care), Service Agreements etc.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of multiple SIL homes.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance quality of support and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, their family members, and other relevant stakeholders to promote positive outcomes.
- Develop and lead a team of Site Supervisors and Support Workers to ensure high-quality services are being provided to participants in line with NDIS Practice Standards
- Ensure participants are being provided with the best possible support to meet their goals in line with their care plan.
- Implement and maintain effective communication and information management systems.
- Monitor and ensure support services are delivered within allocated budget.
- Coordinate the transition of new participants into services.
- Help promote and manage SIL vacancies.
- Ensure participant documentation is regularly reviewed and up to date.
- Provide direction and guidance to your teams regarding complex issues, risk management and incident response.
- Manage conflict and address performance within your team.
- Identify, report, and follow up on any Workplace Health and Safety issues.
- Manage, report, and follow up on any incidents.
- Ensure Induction for new support staff is thorough and accurate.
- General administration duties
- Other tasks as directed by the management team.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll have previous experience in a comparable role within the disability sector. You’ll also have a clear understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and participant support requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualification
- A thorough understanding of the complex needs of people living with disability
- Ability to communicate and appropriately respond to the needs of people with disability.
- Understanding and experience in delivering services according to NDIS Practice Standards
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards as they relate to Supported Independent Living.
- Experience coordinating and maintaining SIL service arrangements and programs of support.
- Experience in monitoring budgets, participant services and funding packages.
- Knowledge of legislation and WHS regulations
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong relationship building skills.
- A high level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Packages
- Initiative, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid / CPR
- Driver’s licence
