As an NDIS Team Leader, you will support people with a disability to achieve personal goals and outcomes, as well as work towards and achieve NDIS goals through the support of our support workers.
About the role
Empowered’s Team Leaders offer assistance to individuals and their families on their NDIS journey. You aim to increase the independence of our participants by working closely to develop their capacity, confidence and quality of life. You will support participants directly by coordinating and managing their community access or groups supports, as delivered by Empowered Community Services, and ensure that supports are tailored to the individual needs of our participants.
We have a passionate team of Team Leaders that you will work alongside to achieve great outcomes for the people we support.
Our Team Leaders pride themselves on professional development and will be able to contribute valuable knowledge as you transition to your new role.
Flexible working arrangements can be an option once full-time face-to-face training has been completed.
About you
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person who wants to grow alongside our organisation. You must be well-presented, articulate and fun-loving, whose passion lies within the disability sector, with a desire to better the lives of people living with a disability.
Job Description
- Meeting with new participants, and completing intakes into the Empowered Community Access platform.
- Providing general knowledge on funding options and funded supports available through the Empowered Community Access and Groups platforms.
- Preparing and submitting Progress Reports and documentation as required.
- Supporting Empowered Support Workers to appropriately support their NDIS participants.
- Actively managing participant incidents, and issues, and appropriately resolving and mitigating future incidents.

Essential Criteria
- Current Drivers Licence.
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Excellent case note reporting and record management.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
- 6-12 months experience in a related or relevant role.
Desirable Criteria
Qualification in Community Services, Mental Health or related field.
