QMS NDT & NACE are a South Australian/Western Australian based company that provide a range of survey, inspection and non-destructive testing services to the defence, mining, and manufacturing industries across metropolitan and regional South Australia and Western Australia.
QMS has an excellent opportunity for suitably experienced NDT Technicians to work on various projects. Rosters and site locations may vary and we are seeking reliable individuals who are flexible and willing to travel across different sites as required. We have multiple positions available.
The position will be based at Osborne SA/Henderson WA. Hours will generally be Monday to Friday with occasional overtime required.
NDT Technician Role:
- Radiographic, Ultrasonic Thickness / Ultrasonic Weld, Dye Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspections
- Production of detailed photographic reports
Essential Requirements:
- All, or more than one, of the following NDT methods - AINDT Level 2 Radiography, Level 2 Ultrasonics, Level 2 Magnetic Particle and Level 2 Dye Penetrant
- SA Radiation Licences if RT certified
- Previous experience with NDT inspections in accordance with AS/ISO standards
- Previous experience working on large engineering projects or in an industrial environment
- Able to work in a confined space
- Must be reliable with good communication skills and a team player
- Understanding of WH&S requirements and responsibilities
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- A reasonable level of health and fitness
- Must be prepared to undertake a national police check and pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing
- Current driver’s licence
- Current resume with at least 2 checkable work references
Desired Requirements:
- Advanced NDT methods - PAUT, TOFD
- Visual Testing Level 2
- NACE 1 or 2 coating inspection certificate
- Confined Space certification
- Construction Industry White Card
