A global player in the logistics sector. Based on the southern fringes of the city (think Maroubra, Botany, Matraville).
They run a business critical network environment and need their team to be on site 5 days a week to ensure things run as smooth as cream, and they are best positioned to resolve issues when they do arise.
There is very little public transport in the area, but there is parking on site. As such having a car & a licence is essential.
The role
Their network is largely Cisco based, though they are currently upgrading their firewalls to Palo Altos.
The Network Admin will be there to maximise network uptime and resolve any issues with the network. T his role is 5 days a week on site.
You'd also tackle any project work (such as the firewall implementation and an upcoming WAN upgrade).
The role sits with the infrastructure team (Desktop support, system engineers & an infrastructure manager). They have a friendly, down to earth culture, as does the business, We're looking for people who are good communicators who will thrive in that environment.
In terms of experience, we're looking for someone who has managed and support large cisco environments. You also need to know how to manage firewalls.
Any network certs would be great (CCNA, CCNP, etc), but you need to have solid commercial network support experience and good communication skills to underpin that.
