About the Role:
This role is a ground level entry opportunity into the world of IT equipment supply and procurement and Logistics administration and management.
Working closely with both the procurement manager and sales administrator, the successful candidate will take control of the day to day supply logistics administration which involves both client and supplier product delivery logistics. Additional general administrative office duties and inventory management and coordination with suppliers and vendors on stock availability are also key parts of the role.
We adopt a customer service-centric approach to all activities which requires this role to have a close attention to detail, providing accurate information and stakeholder responsiveness and quality communications, turning around logistical assignments quickly and on schedule.
Personal energy and a ‘can do’ approach coupled with getting the detail right is what is needed to become a successful member of our small procurement team. Quality communications with our suppliers, customers and internal sales team is a sought after skill.
Expected business growth can provide further opportunities for the person to develop higher level skills and expand their role over the next 12- 18 months.
Commencing responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Day to day administration of supplier and customer delivery logistics
- Administering backorders and in house inventory
- Keeping the sales team informed of any issues/delays of customer orders
- First point of call for dispatching and receiving deliveries from our office to customer nominated sites
- Taking care of basic office administration tasks to ensure a functioning and enjoyable work environment
- Providing ad hoc assistance when needed to the procurement/sales team with product ordering, account coding and customer invoicing
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in office administration roles at either junior or intermediate levels is essential
- Ideally will have experience in supply logistics administration or similar administrative working environment in customer product supply environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Word and able to operate existing Excel spreadsheets proficiently when shown
- Willing to learn on the job quickly and not intimidated by the challenge of using office technology, processes and software platforms
- A current NSW Driver License (Class C)
