Access theCross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.About the RoleThe Customer and Network team coordinate temporary and permanent changes to rail and transport networks so that Cross River Rail can be delivered. This includes facilitating access to the network for construction partners whilst ensuring minimal impacts to commuters with acceptable levels of accessibility and service maintained during construction.The Network Change Advisor contributes to ensuring customer facing Network Changes are managed successfully throughout the project lifecycle, with a key focus on extended closures of the rail network and associated impacts. This entails engagement with transport stakeholders including the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Rail and technical advisors. You will support Network Change governance framework which enable effective multi agency collaboration and decision making.The successful applicant will be working from our modern corporate office conveniently located in Brisbane's CBD. This opportunity will be offered as a two year fixed term contract with possible extension.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the multi-agency delivery of customer facing Network Changes such as extended rail closures using established governance frameworks.
- Engage with transport agencies to ensure alignment of Network Change planning and readiness activities and adequate stakeholder input.
- Administration of gateway assurance processes for Network Change management.
- Support the management of risks and issues on all elements of Network Change readiness and delivery, including solutions and mitigation measures.
- Develop and manage project controls and project reporting.
- Support the development of Network Change governance materials such as operational risk assessments, options analyses, gateway assurance documentation.
- Analyse technical documents and partake in group workshops to identify and assess the scale of customer and network impacts.
- Plan for and support day of operations activities for Network Changes, which includes work outside of regular hours, on weekends and public holidays.
- Undertake continual improvement exercises and lessons learnt activities post Network Changes.
- Experience adhering to strict process and governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, with experience providing high-level advice.
- Highly organised and deadline focused with the ability to adapt to sudden changes in priorities.
- Stakeholder engagement capabilities with a wide range of transport and technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of public transport network operations with experience supporting the coordination of Network Changes highly desired.
