Our client is undergoing significant expansion and to support this growth and elevate their network infrastructure, they are seeking a talented Network Engineer to collaborate closely with the Network Architect on various project initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation and management of network solutions to align with the evolving needs of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, IPSec, VPN, and wireless technologies to effectively support business operations.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to integrate new technologies and solutions into the existing network environment.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of network equipment, software, and services to support business objectives.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency in network management and operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders on network-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in networking to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architectures and technologies.
- Experience with IPSec and VPN configurations for secure communications.
- Knowledge of wireless networking principles and implementations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in relevant networking technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is desirable.
