Key Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in configuring, deploying, and maintaining networking hardware to ensure seamless operations.
Your duties will include:
- Onsite hardware troubleshooting required with travel to multiple sites within the area (must have a valid drivers license).
- Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement network solutions that align with business requirements.
- Developing and enforcing network security policies to safeguard organisational assets.
- Providing technical expertise and support to end-users and IT staff regarding network technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A qualification in IT/Communications, or similar industry certifications.
- Culture is super important to our client and they are looking for an ambitious and driven contractor who is willing to learn with an excellent, positive attitude.
- Experience in TCP/IP routing and switching, WLAN, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, Wireshark, and network technologies.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, NAT, and Wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba).
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot LAN and WLAN issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentations.
