Network Engineer - Datacentre

Micron21’s is searching for a highly motivated and talented CCNP or above Network Engineer, with networking skills that would impress.

You need to be a master of BGP, ISIS, and VXLAN at a minimum whilst loving the responsibility of running a large public AS network. You need to be very comfortable with Cisco and Juniper hardware CLI and willing to master an array of different vendor hardware solutions and LOVE Automation such as SDN via OpenStack.

The successful candidate will need to be able to keep up with our fast-paced agile environment, provide amazing network support to our customers along with experience automating and integrating with operational support systems.

Candidates must have DataCenter, ISP or MSP experience designing complex network solutions based on current solution architecture principles and working with other Network & System Engineers to get things done.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of experience administering multiple routers in a DataCentre or ISP (Minimum CCNP or Equivalent Knowledge)
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching (Leaf & Spine) and load balancers.
• Comprehensive experience with practical Internet routing using BGP, OSPF & IS-IS.
• In-depth understanding of LAN technologies and topologies, including VLANs, VXLAN, VRFs, MPLS, L3VPN & DWDM.
• Extensive experience with network security including Firewalls, VPNs, IPS and DDoS mitigation
• Expertise in layer 2 & 3 networks.
• Extensive knowledge of layer 3, 4 & 7 DDoS attacks, mitigation & scrubbing platforms.
• ITIL experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure, and an eye for detail are all required personal traits
• Expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Extreme (Brocade) & A10 equipment.
