Position Purpose:
DFP Recruitment is hiring for 2 Skilled Network Engineers for the Cyber Security and Networks Branch within the Agency’s Information Management and Technology Division. These positions are crucial for the day-to-day operations of the Agency's global network and gateways. As part of your role, you will engage in strategic planning and innovative activities to support departmental and whole-of-government priorities. You will also contribute to strengthening and modernising the Agency’s gateway environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operations of global systems.
- Provide technical contributions to network and gateway technologies, including Juniper, Cisco, Trend Micro, F5, Clearswift, and Fortigate.
- Contribute to documentation efforts.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience demonstrating strong gateway engineering and technical skills.
- Experience in developing high-level and detailed gateway designs.
- Ability to articulate technical details through design and implementation plans.
- Highly developed diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Effective team collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Broad understanding of industry trends, whole-of-government direction, and emerging technologies for solving business problems.
- Strong stakeholder management and client services skills.
- Understanding of ASD Essential 8 and experience with contributing to security accreditation of ICT systems.
- Experience in the day-to-day operations of highly secured networks and cryptography solutions.
