About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Digital Solutions team in a full time permanent role. 
You will be working closely with the Network Security Engineering team and stakeholders both internally and externally to identify, implement, maintain and monitor networking and security solutions.
 
Key responsibilities: 

  • Install, configure and maintain data network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, WAN optimizers, etc.)
  • Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability
  • Maintain all IP addressing, including assignment of subnets, IP pools and VLAN allocations
  • Document network policies, procedures, design and configurations.
  • Perform 3rd tier support for internal customers
  • Assist with incident response
  • Upgrade and maintain infrastructure and systems during appropriate outage windows, which may be outside of business hours.
  • Ability to innovate and understand new technologies
  • Perform on call duties on a rostered basis

About you 

Knowledge and experience working with enterprise networks are a must, with good analytical and troubleshooting skills and high level abilities in maintaining the stability and performance of the network across the organisation.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in IP networking, networking protocols and security related technologies. 
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN networking and DNS technologies
  • Strong experience with Cisco products (UCS, WLC, ASA, MDS, Sourcefire, Firepower, CUCM, CU, Webex)
  • Knowledge in security/network principles and technical understanding of IT security related technologies (e.g. Antivirus, endpoint protection, data encryption, PKI, HSM, DLP/IDS, etc.);
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco network hardware and solutions
