The Network Engineer is a pivotal role that will provide both project and BAU support services to one of their key clients based on the fringe of the Sydney’s CBD.
You are an experienced Network Security Engineer with strong skills in Switching, Routing, Firewalls, MPLS, Wireless, load balancers etc.
The primary function of the role will be to:
- Implement network solutions, including design, implementation, migration and test
- Network support including incident resolution and service request fulfilment
- Post implementation support.
- Develop and maintain close customer relations
- Assist the Service Delivery Manager with review meetings
- Assist the company in their development and improvement of services, including processes, onboarding of customers, adhering to SLAs etc
o Experience in the implementation, and support of network infrastructure with strong skills in Wireless/Wi-Fi (Cisco, Aruba, WLC, Access points)
Able to communicate complex technology-related business issues to audiences with a varying range of technical expertise
o Self-motivated and resilient
o Proven influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
o Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues with a systematic, structured, and measured approach
o Demonstrated planning skills with the ability to develop structured and presentable complex multi-system change run sheets
The technologies you have expertise in include:
- Cisco /Aruba Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and access points
- Cisco Catalyst Switches and ASR Routers
- Campus networking concepts
- Cisco Nexus OS switching
- Cisco UC and voice infrastructure
- Security Platforms (e.g.; FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco firewall appliances)
- Certifications: ideally CCIE or min CCNP or equivalent
- Cisco SDA & DNAC
- Cisco ACI
- FortiGate Firewalls
- FortiManager
- F5 BIG-IP
