Job description

  • Located in Newcastle - Hybrid opportunity with a requirement to visit the office weekly (or as the business requires) and travel to sites from Newcastle through to Dubbo

You're looking to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that's shaping the landscape across NSW.
You're looking to contribute to the transformation of the transport sector towards a greener and more sustainable future.
You want to actively participate in shaping policies and initiatives that reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy adoption, and enhance the overall environmental performance of the transport network.
In this role, you'll:
- Report to the Project Manager Renewables Transportation within our Regional and Outer Metropolitan division
- Play a critical role in determining key operational objectives within the limits of the appropriate delegated authority.
- Be accountable for the quality, integrity and validity of the service provided
Additionally, this role will be accountable for:
  • Advise, inform and support senior management with coordinating the customer experience and project resources across regional project work sites, planned events and unplanned incidents within regional project boundaries
  • Minimise conflict and advocate a collaborative response to manage disruption impacts to ensure quick restoration of network capacity
  • Assess regional project proposals and work activities to ensure a customer-focused approach is applied and activities comply with legislation, guidelines and standards, including the application of best practice network management

About you
- ideally suited to someone who has experience in transport network operations management, including management of major and/or minor works, including risk management associated with access and mobility on the network.
- Have demonstrated experience applying project management and business principles with a focus on achieving effective customer-focused outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated relevant experience in transport network planning and/or management and operations.
- Possess a current motor vehicle driver's license.
You will assist with or coordinate operational planning and responses to various events/incidents unfolding across the network and as such will be on-call at short notice and expected to work and travel outside of normal business hours.
