Network Operations Analyst NOC - Infrastructure monitoring and support to global customers - Day Shift

- Day shift : 6am to 6pm (Thu, Fri and Sat with alternate Weds)

Our client is a global financial powerhouse and a highly recognised and respected brand.
This role is part of their global Network Operations Control Centre in Sydney.
They are now looking for a Network Operations Analyst (NOC Analyst) to be part of their Network Operations team and be part of a true Global Infrastructure Monitoring and Support Operations function.
Substantial training will be provided to the selected individual and the role is to start asap
The Operations Control Centre is 24/7/365, hence the NOC Analyst will be assigned to regular Day Shifts, starting at 6am and ending at 6pm, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with alternate Wednesdays.
You will be expected to have a few years of commercial experience in a similar role, being a NOC Operator or Network Analyst supporting external customers, in a 24/7/365 environment. Candidates will be required to speak Mandarin and English.
Needless to say, apart from the technical skills required and listed below, you will be a natural communicator, with an outstanding phone manner and strong customer focus.
Summary of the Role
- Provide 24x7x365 technical operations support for global infrastructure;
- Mandarin and English communication skills
- 3+ years commercial experience monitoring mission critical infrastructure and Incident and Change Management processes.
- Regularly perform data analysis to determine performance and identify areas of improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Incident, Change, and Problem Management
- Vendor management to ensure forward-progress managed Incidents and escalation
- Monitor the performance of traffic, systems, and central site processing, addressing anomalies detected or escalate
- Perform quarterly Releases and patch rollout and routing of central site and customer traffic
Requirements (please ensure you address the below in your ad response):
- Relevant IT Degree and or equivalent work experience in a similar environment
- Intermediate knowledge of routing, switching, tunnelling and MPLS
- Strong experience in performing post event/incident analysis
- Strong experience with Networks, MPLS, OSPF, OSI, file transfer , Single or Dual messages, etc
- Minimum of CCNA or CCNP certification
- Strong problem and troubleshooting skills.
- Just as important : Passion for learning and thriving in a fast paced environment and effective organisational skills. You will be expected to be a Team Player, resilient and able to work autonomously.
