Transport for Brisbane operates one of Australia’s largest public transport enterprises to cater for the needs of Brisbane’s travelling public and visitors to the city. With a fleet comprising more than 1,250 buses, 23 CityCats and 5 Kittycat’s, as well as eScooters, Transport for Brisbane helps to facilitate around 238,000 journeys for residents and visitors to Brisbane every day of the week, during standard operations.
Our Branch
Strategy and Network Services Branch is responsible for a range of strategic and business planning activities, including the planning of Council’s evolving public transport network. In particular, this involves the development of service initiatives to accommodate future growth, embrace technological change, and deliver enhanced network integration.
The Role
The Network Planner will be responsible for supporting the Network Planning Manager and the Network Planning team in the development of evidence-based strategic public transport planning activities.
To be successful, you will need to have:
- strong customer focus, understands community and customer expectations in planning transport outcomes
- ability to analyse strategic planning documents and reports including analysing, interpreting, and reporting complex information in a useable form
- experience in report writing and the ability to communicate complex information
- well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including competence in writing business communications, reports, and documents
- sound problem solving, analytical and research skills including the ability to analyse a data and identify options for their resolution and formulate advice
- the ability to work positively and collaboratively within a small multi-functional work team.
