AddressWe are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Checkpoint and Proofpoint technologies. This permanent, Brisbane-based role requires working on-site the majority of the time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Network Security and be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect our organization’s information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement: Develop and deploy Network Security solutions using Checkpoint and Proofpoint.
- Manage Security Systems: Monitor and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and email security gateways.
- Incident Response: Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Policy Development: Create and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams to integrate security measures.
- Training: Support junior team members and conduct security awareness training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-5 years of Network Security experience, focusing on Checkpoint and Proofpoint.
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CCSE, Proofpoint Certified Administrator, CISSP.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Project management skills.
Compensation:
- Salary: $140k to $150k plus superannuation, with potential increase for exceptional candidates.
