The WA Network Services team supports public sector customer by providing operational and project services to the Western Australian Government.
We are actively recruiting a candidate with exceptional technical skills to lead and mentor our team of network engineers. As a Network Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in reviewing and issuing technical designs, project delivery, and providing critical assistance to our operations team. Your role extends beyond technical tasks working side by side with the WA team lead in actively participating in the skill development of our team members, sharing insights, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to this role:
Technical Skills
- 5-10 Years experience in roles focusing on Network implementation and design.
- Experience with Service Provider, Data Center networks and Campus Network infrastructure.
- Expert level certification (at least one):
- Cisco: CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, Service Provider, Enterprise Wireless
- Aruba: Expert ACMX, ACSX, ACDX
- Expert knowledge of the following protocols and technologies:
- Overlay/underlay network design and operation
- Cisco Wireless (Aironet & Catalyst)
- Routing engineering
- MPLS L2/L3 VPN, BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, DMVPN, Segment Routing
- WAN Management: QoS & Traffic management
- VLAN, STP, Port-channel, Stacking
- Leaf-spine, EVPN, VXLAN
- DNS, DHCP, AAA, PKI, NG-FW
- Working within a Project Management Framework.
- Experience using and understanding troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience.
- Experience working within a well-defined ITIL process framework (change, incident, and asset management).
