The Serco ICT Digital Team at Fiona Stanley Hospital

We work with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to plan, design, build, maintain, and support the digital solutions at Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility. About the Opportunity
The Network Specialist provides specialist knowledge and expertise within the team of Network Specialists and Network Associates, who operate, administer, and manage the Hospital’s network and telephony service. The ICT Service components managed by this team include: Local Area Network (LAN); Wide Area Network (WAN); Wireless LAN (WLAN); Real Time Location Service (RTLS); Voice; Video; Collaboration
Reporting to the Network Team lead, this role provides technical leadership for the design and deployment of network infrastructure and is prominent in designing network solutions to meet Hospital requirements. The Network Specialist maintains consistency in design, along with high-quality guidelines and stable technical standards.
What you'll be doing:
• Provide OAM services around the networking services and infrastructure
• Monitor and respond to service Outages and performance events
• Regularly patch networking infrastructure in line with the patch management guidelines
• Provide capacity planning around the network components
• Report on the network specific KPIs
• Lead network fault diagnosis and rectification
• Act as a technical escalation point for Network Associates
• Ensure secure and stable connectivity for network-connected devices
• Install, configure, test, patch, and maintain networking infrastructure and appliances, in the Hospital’s TEST and PROD environments

About You
You have excellent analytical skills and can prioritise competing demands. You have demonstrated collaboration in team-oriented environments and can contribute to on-going continuous improvements. You take responsibility for finding solutions and swift action to resolvenissues with integrity.
Your ideal skills & experience:
• Excellent understanding of at least one of Cisco Routing, Switching, Unified Communications, Wireless,
• Excellent technical analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security
• Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
Desirable
• ITIL Foundation Training
• Current Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certification
• Certificate II/III in Health Administration
