- Experience on back end is a big differential

- Understand of infrastructure and how is implemented (minimum 2- 3 years in a level 2 type role).
- Manage service provider background highly regrded.
The Network & System Administrator key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems/network hardware software and related infrastructure as required.
- Assist in the planning, designing and implementation of new projects in relation to software and infrastructure-based platforms.
- Respond and action monitoring alerts and notifications for servers and network resources.
- Monitor and test backup systems to ensure jobs are completing correctly and provide restoration where required.
- Regularly audit systems/services and equipment to ensure optimum functionality is provided.
- Implement enhancements and ongoing monitoring of services and proactively identify any issues before users are affected.
- Ensure LAN/WAN and communications infrastructure are effectively administered to provide maximum availability, performance, and operating efficiency.
- Administer AWS and Azure cloud platforms in collaboration with platform partners.
- Assist with ongoing deployment and optimisation of Microsoft 365 platform.
- Proactively assess and monitor hardware and software systems and associated network infrastructure.
- Proactively maintain the security of computing systems through reviewing SIEM alerts and Microsoft 365 security notifications.
- Assist in delivery of software upgrades and security updates as part of security practice.
- Adhere to quality security practices and participate in review of Essential 8, ISO27001 and other recommended security baselines as directed.
- Ensure that all issues reported are logged into the Service Desk system; ensuring that they are rectified in a timely manner with minimal disruption to staff, adhering to SLA’s and KPI’s where appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with key internal stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Provide advanced level 2,3 support (Desktop & Server), take ownership of jobs, and escalate where required.
