Network Technician
Security Clearance:
Have and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance before commencement of work.
Position: Network Technician
SFIA Level: NTDS L6
The Network Technician will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:
Support the design, build, and deploy of complex network solutions.
Complete and review all associated network documentation.
Provide Network SME advice to the customer, and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project definition, system architecture and process improvement.
Create Knowledge Articles on key processes, network devices and systems that can be used across the service desk and wider community of IT support staff.
Identify innovative service improvements that provide additional value to network solutions.
Work with peers in a highly collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience as a Network/Gateway engineer.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in networking technologies including:
o Routing
o Switching
o Next Gen Firewalls
o Voice Over IP
o Enterprise Wireless LAN infrastructure
o Network Segmentation
o Flow Control
Strong knowledge of Industry standard frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
Desirable Skills and Experience
Knowledge and experience of SEA2273 Minerva systems.
Experience working within or interoperating with the Defence Network environment.
Experience applying frameworks to architecture and solution design, including test and evaluation procedures.
