The successful applicant will clinically screen newborn babies in the first days of life for hearing loss prior to their discharge home. This role will see you promote a professional caring environment endorsing a family centred approach when performing hearing screening and obtain consent for procedure.Be a safe and responsible member of the SWIS-H team who liaises effectively with parents, team members, and other professionals regarding the hearing screen process. The role will also involve program administration that includes compliance with documentation, collection of data, and recording of results in respective data bases and newborn records.We invite you to become a part of our team. - Well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with Patients and all Clinical Staff
- Previous experience working in a health care setting
- Knowledge of the Newborn Hearing Screening program
- Positive and enthusiastic manner and able to work independently under direction and seek guidance and supervision as required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, enhancing the capability and contribution of the team
- Basic Computer skills
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
