Peer Workers at HOPE work are valued members of our Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) teams where they help to connect HOPE with the local community and deliver services.
The Peer Worker’s responsibilities include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients
- Working alongside the participants and the counsellor/educator to identify goals that are important to the participant.
- Supporting participants to connect in the community
- Facilitating support groups
- Keeping records of service delivery using our online client management system
As a Peer Worker you will also be supported to advocate for consumer rights and provide feedback to the Primary Health Networks regarding barriers to services.
