You will be a self-starter with a good contact book and a natural knack for producing engaging and snappy copy.
Sourcing and creating compelling journalism that is relevant across multiple platforms
Connect with existing and new readers across multiple platforms
Work under deadline pressure in a fast paced newsroom
Have proven skills in writing for social media audiences and for search
Deliver unique content, drive conversation and socially-engage our readers
You will be required to work the occasional weekend shift, and must be comfortable working independently.
Who are you?
Previous reporting and newsroom experience
Experience writing quality journalism to tight deadlines
Able to produce engaging and snappy copy
Solid digital experience
Strong interview skills and news judgement
You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics.
