AddressWe are looking for a committed Night Porter & Cleaner to carry out the nights service, security, and cleaning of a busy central hotel/motel - The Astor Hotel in Wagga Wagga.
A Night Porter is a porter who is on duty during the night at the hotel. They attend to the needs of guests and other incidents during the night whilst also cleaning of all public areas including the kitchen.
Main Responsibilities and tasks:
- Check in guests with late arrival & attend to any guests needs and other incidents during the night
- Answer phone calls throughout the night shift
- Responsible for the security of the hotel and guests during the night
- Responsible for cleaning of all public areas and kitchen
- Keeping the outside and public areas of the hotel clean and tidy as well as preparing for the following day’s events.
- Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints. Pass on to relevant information to managers if unable to handle
- Ensure that all tasks are completed on each shift that a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of the shift
- Ensure that wake up calls are made promptly
- Carry out any other reasonable requests made by the General Manager or Duty managers
- Record any unusual occurrences or problems take appropriate action.
- Perform any related security duties as required overnight
- Report any faulty equipment to the relevant persons
Looking for someone who is:
- Well presented with excellent customer service and communication skills to welcome guests on check in
- Comfortable & confident to work evenings and likes to work on their own
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, hardworking with attention to detail.
- Ability to undertake security and maintenance checks
- Hands on approach to Night duties
- Be available to work night shifts from from 11pm through to 6am during the week - 14-20 hours available for the right candidate
- Is well presented with good customer service skills
