Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced A-Double Container Drivers available to join our team in Hemmant, Brisbane immediately. As a container driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting containers to and from designated locations, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Transport containers from port terminals to customer sites and vice versa in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness.
- Secure containers properly using appropriate strapping and equipment to prevent any movement during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of pickup and delivery times, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and lights.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading containers as needed, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to container transportation.

Requirements:
- Valid MC driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MC container driver.
- Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate heavy vehicles with precision and care.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including manual handling of containers.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours, depending on business needs.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
- Pre-employment medical pass
