Nightshift Warehouse Leading Hand

Combined Metal Industries are seeking a full-time Nightshift Warehouse Leading Hand to lead our afternoon and nightshift Despatch Team. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Manager. 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Maintain the pick and despatch system to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
• Lead the despatch team and model behaviour in line with the CMI Company values.
• Assign tasks and duties to Despatch Officers according to production and delivery priorities.
• Check all orders for accuracy and damage and make corrections if necessary.
• Work closely with the Logistics Manager and Day Warehouse Supervisor to identify opportunities to ensure we continue improving the way we deliver to our customers.
• Load company delivery vehicles with ordered goods.
• Operate forklift to load and unload trucks in liaison with Despatch, Production, and Sales.
• Operate forklift to load racks safely and accurately in the yard in liaison with Despatch, Production, and Sales.
• Work hours 6:00pm to 2:00am Monday

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Prior despatch and/or logistics experience 
• Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels 
• Self driven, proactive with a can do attitude and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritise, multi task in a fast-paced environment and a high attention to detail
• Commitment to Safety, OH&S policies and procedures 
• Current Forklift Licence
• Excellent communication skills
