INTRODUCTION TO THE COLLEGE
Mother Teresa Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational College registered to enrol students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in the extensive and rapidly growing suburb of Baldivis, situated about 60 kilometres South of Perth in the City of Rockingham. The successful applicant will possess strong organisational and communication skills to work effectively within as small cohesive team as well as build good relationships with students, parents, and staff. They will have impressive knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and the capacity to teach across Years 7-12 within Visual Arts. The ability to use and integrate technology to complement student learning would also be an advantage. Visual Art specialists able to teach strong Visual Art classes to both ATAR and General level will be a requirement of this exciting full time teaching position.
Our significant pedagogy is Inquiry Learning. Our Middle School students in Years 7 to 9 engage in integrated Challenge Based Learning as a continuation of the Inquiry Learning pedagogy offered in our Early Learning and Primary classes.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Criminal History Check from the Department of Education and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) during their employment.

- Be willing to be involved in the life of the College, including involvement in out-of- school activities.
- Be flexible, enthusiastic, and able to collaborate with colleagues and participate in inter-disciplinary planning and pedagogy.
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, communication skills and proficiency in integrating technology into the daily classroom environment.
- Have knowledge of and willingness to embrace and facilitate inquiry-learning pedagogy and collaborate with colleagues in the planning, session facilitation and evaluation of Challenge Based Learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant qualifications and experience teaching in various areas of The Arts
- Relevant four-year tertiary qualification
- Current TRBWA Registration
- Successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
