At Nimble Nerds (www.nimblenerds.com.au), we are searching for a skilled, outgoing, and courteous technician to join our small but highly responsive, outgoing and responsible team of customer-focused experts. With the ability to choose your availability, this role is perfect for those looking for a flexible way to earn extra weekly income.
We're ideally looking for someone available on weekdays, please, during the day rather than evenings currently.
We anticipate an immediate workload of approximately 20+ hours per week.
This role may be ideal for those currently studying or with a second income stream. Or those not keen to fill every weekday with constant work.
We offer an excellent hourly rate of $50 per hour, including all travel time calculated by Google Maps driving times/distances - from when you leave home each day too! So please do ensure you include your home suburb.
Plus, our organizational structure includes tier 2 support, so you'll always have a senior team member if you need a second opinion on the tougher tasks.
It's a great opportunity for entry-level technicians and degree students or the seasoned pro looking for a larger workload as we can work around your study hours or other commitments.
What we require of you:
- An ABN (contracting position)
- Liability insurance (subcontractors have to have their own)
- Drivers license
- Own vehicle
- Ability to submit a police check (as you will be in secure sites and residences)

Schedule:
- We're primarily focued on Mon to Fri, 5 days a week, 9 am to 6 pm
- We may be resuming weekend availability, optional.
Expected attire & tools:
- Business professional attire please (collared business shirts, jeans OK), no ties. (Tie's are catch hazards)
- Rubber soled shoes. (Anti-static, grounding)
- Own set of precision screwdrivers, adapters and laptop. Basic toolsets OK.
Supplemental pay types:
- Tips occur occasionally
- Commissions on hardware, software and product sales
Ability to commute/relocate:
- You must be physically located in Sydney for this role, please. It's primarly an on site Computer Technician role, hands on, customer facing.
