Non Destructive Testing Technician

Qualifications & Experience Required / Desirable:

Candidates should hold the minimum AINDT, PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certifications, with proven experience in the following:

• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Magnetic Particle (MT)
• Liquid Penetrant (PT)
• Minimum of 2 years Non-Destructive Testing experience.
• Applicants require the right to work in Australia.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Excellent safety culture.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
• Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
• Eddy Current Testing (ET)
• AINDT / PCN Level 3
• AICIP / API Pressure Equipment Inspection
• Welding Inspector Qualifications
• NACE Coating Inspection certification
• Rope Access IRATA certification

Day to Day duties include:

• Ensuring that the work area is safe.
• Ensuring inspection techniques are carried out within the parameters of the nominated specification and/or procedures.
• Establishing and conducting the most effective NDT techniques on components requiring inspection.
• Carrying out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components and assemblies, in order to establish compliance with codes and standards.
• Producing clear and concise reports detailing the methods used and results of the inspection.
• Ensuring any limitations of the inspection or deviations from the work scope are clearly documented and communicated to the Client and Supervisor at the earliest possible opportunity.
