The Board of Directors are responsible to lead Prelude Australia in its Objective and Charitable Purpose as outlined in the Constitution and implemented in the Strategic Plan and annual Budget. They are responsible for the overall governance and risk management of the organisation aligned with all relevant legislation and compliance requirements under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC). The Board of Directors work collaboratively together as a team to lead the organisation and support the General Manager who is responsible for operationalising the Prelude Australia strategy through service provision.

Prelude Australia are looking for an experienced Finance professional that is both passionate and excited by the opportunity to volunteer and actively participate in the various strategic and operational activities required for us to achieve key organisational goals.

What we are looking for:

• Eligibility to be a Director with ASCI (ie not banned or disqualified)

• Relevant qualifications, skills and expertise in the technical area of Finance
• Verified Working with Children Check
• Verified Annual Police Criminal Record Check
• Up to date COVID -19 vaccination

Commitment:

• Membership at Prelude Australia
• Participation at Annual General Meeting (AGM), General Meetings of Members and any Special Resolution Meetings
• Monthly Directors Meetings (min. 6 per year)
• Consultative support to General Manager
• Participation in relevant Committees (e.g. Budget Committee)
