They are now seeking a visionary Business Unit Director to lead a dynamic team based out of their Sydney head office. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to drive significant impact across the Australia New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for the Business Unit, ensuring financial targets and other operational metrics are met.
- Lead and inspire core functions including Sales, Marketing, Digital and Category Management, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance market penetration, revenue growth, and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to align strategies and optimise market opportunities ensuring alignment with consumer needs and market trends.
- Manage key customer relationships and negotiate trading terms to secure strategic partnerships and alliances.
- Provide leadership and development to a high-performing team, setting clear goals and KPIs, and ensuring professional growth and alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Business Unit Head or Commercial Director within the Consumer Healthcare / personal care sector, with a solid track record of strategic leadership and P&L management.
- Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the FMCG industry, particularly in health, personal care and wellness products sold into consumer retail channels.
- Strong digital / e-commerce experience
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams across multiple disciplines.
- Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, adept at making data-driven decisions and adapting to rapidly changing market conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA ideal.
