About the role
Would you like to impart your automotive and training knowledge to help 'steer' Dealership staff to improve both the efficiency and professionalism that will contribute to an improved customer experience? Our partnership with BMW Australia has us looking for the right person to fill the training position.
We have an opportunity for a Non-Technical Trainer to join our team in Melbourne (Mulgrave). Working in collaboration with the Non-Technical Training Manager to align all training content, your primary focus will be to support BMW Australia’s retail network competency goals by delivering training across Australian & New Zealand markets.
The position involves some domestic travel and working diligently to deliver training courses, providing input on curriculum and co-ordinate activities that support the training department and its team.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitation of all BMW Group training (face to face & virtual) with an emphasis on Product and Sales at Dealer level including Consultants, Managers, General Managers and Geniuses.
- Continuous review of training content with Manager to ensure relevancy for dealers and alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure BMW Australia training programs stand out as the most relevant and desirable training to be undertaken by dealership staff.
- Work with regions and dealerships to maximize attendance for all training events and sessions that are scheduled to be run.
- Ensure that contemporary adult learning principles are applied to maximize the effectiveness of learning outcomes of training activities.
Key competencies, qualifications & experience
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Understanding of automotive dealership operations, process, and the wider industry. (Knowledge of BMW Group a bonus)
- Strong leadership, strategy development, communication, motivation & self-management.
- Sound business management knowledge including KPI control and derivation of measures to achieve objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills (A friendly and team player attitude, empathic, engaging)
- Thorough knowledge of computer application (MS Office suite, Adobe Connect)
- Qualifications or education appropriate to the automotive industry and role is desirable.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or working towards the equivalent education.
- 12-months experience as a trainer desirable.
