No to Violence is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training, Sector Development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. About the role
The NSW Sector Development Manager is responsible for leading Sector Development and advocacy activities in NSW to advance NTV’s strategic objectives, policies, and service deliverables across all areas of influence. This role also operates across NSW in a principal practice advisory and development capacity relating to best practice for addressing men’s family violence.
The NSW Sector Development (SD) Manager will develop new and maintain existing relationships with sector partners in the domestic family and sexual violence (DF&SV) sectors, extending this to the broader human services sector to increase knowledge and understanding of the work with people who use family violence.
The role has oversight of the team who support the Men’s Behaviour Change Network (MBCN) to meet NSW Practice Standards, ensuring high quality practice is embedded in the men’s work by Registered Providers and all other stakeholders/members within the male family violence sector.
The role ensures that NTV sets the benchmark and continues to lead as a major peak body within the domestic and family violence sector.
About you
- Have demonstrated knowledge of the NSW family violence sector and related reform agenda
- Have demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and impacts of family violence in the Australian context
- Proven ability to critically evaluate evidence-based information and research findings relating to family violence in the development of policies and briefing papers
- Proven networking, stakeholder engagement and consultation skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and considered written and verbal communications
- Relevant professional experience of working with NSW Government and non-government organisations (NG)s)
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to and facilitate group, writing high quality reports/other documents on family violence, practice guidance.
