Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Due to the planned expansion of our PET services in the Perth metro area, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist with excellent customer service and patient care standards experienced with PET/CT and SPECT/CT systems. Consideration will also be given to newly qualified accredited graduates who wish to start their career in a dynamic and growing company.
What is the opportunity?
The Nuclear Medicine team works across 4 Nuclear Medicine sites and 3 PET sites. A 4th PET site is about to open within the brand-new Murdoch private hospital precinct. We also provide staff to the National Imaging Facility (NIF) for PET research imaging.Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists are required to work throughout the Perth metropolitan area in premier hospital locations within a friendly team environment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Work in a comprehensive multi-modality department as part of the Nuclear Medicine and PET team
- Perform Nuclear Medicine to a high standard in accordance with PRC protocols
- Care for patients by maintaining a high standard of patient care, safety and confidentiality
- Correctly interpret referrals and ensure all documentation is completed as required for each examination
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff and patients
What do you need to be considered?
The ideal candidate would show an interest in further development work in the current and new PET/CT clinical and research fields. PRC also provides CT training to candidates who require dual licensing.
1. Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent
2. All licencing and registrations up to date (e.g. Radiation Licence, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration and a commitment to Continued Professional Development)
3. Patient focused team worker with effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills
4. Experience working with SPECT/CT systems and PET/CT systems
5. Covid 19 Vaccination
6. Full Australian working rights
7. Ability to provide a National Police Check (must be less than 6 months old)
