An opportunity has become available for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver a high-level Nuclear Medicine Technologist service across at least two modalities within the Nuclear Medicine Department
- Apply professional clinical judgement in providing Nuclear Medicine services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaption or modification
- Undertake high level Nuclear Medicine duties within a multidisciplinary team with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision in accordance with a duty roster
- Evaluate and contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols including quality improvement activities that support the Nuclear Medicine service
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Applied Science / Medical Radiation Science - Nuclear Medicine Technology
- AHPRA Registration
- Availability to participate in a varied shift roster over a 5-day period with participation of an “on call” service
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 18 months, with possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $124 435 - $133 901 per annum

The Medical Imaging Service delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at Southport (Gold Coast University Hospital) and a Level 4 service at Robina.
