About Northern Beaches Hospital Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 state-of-the-art theatres including cardiac catheter labs, world-class education centre, doctors lounge and excellent staff facilities including café and car parking. The ward will operate a dynamic mix of both public and private medical and surgical care. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to build a new team with a unique model of care. Ideally you will have recent experience managing a medical and/or surgical ward and you will be motivated by providing only the very best evidence-based care, with patients always at the centre of your decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to put into practice YOUR vision for how a ward can operate with none of the pre-existing issues that come from an established department. You will be part of dynamic and supportive senior team in the hospital.

Act as role model to staff In this role, you will have:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years' clinical care experience in a relevant speciality Desirable Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management or a relevant clinical specialty
Experience in managing a department (including acting or deputising into the Manager role)
Experience in both the private healthcare sector Benefits on offer:

  • Enterprise Agreement 2020
  • 2024, a salary ranging from $59.74 - $64.25 per hour.

Successful applicants are required to provide evidence of a satisfactory current Police Record Check (within the last two months), a Working with Children Check, Health Medical assessment and Immunisation assessment before commencement.
